Underpants (100% cotton) have been buried in the soil
for 60 days. The control pants (left) indicate some activity and breakdown. The SoilPLUS® treated pants (right) show barely recognisable underpants, due to the increased bacterial activity in the soil.
The underpants serve as an indicator of soil activity in the experiment. The faster the cotton decomposes, the more organisms are at work; therefore, the soil is more active and healthier.
